Kashan next to the Karkas mountain range and at the edge of the central desert of Iran is part of Isfahan Province. Civilization and township history of Kashan returns to 7,000 years ago. Sialk Hill (Tapeh Sialk) is known as the first urban civilization at the center of Iran. This ancient region dates back to Elamite era. Kashan is known for producing beautiful fabrics, carpets, tiles and pottery. This city has its own unique architecture and some of the main attractions of Kashan are traditional homes. Especially the city's market (Bazaar) that is entirely based on traditional structures. Kashan was the favorite city of Safavid kings for leisure and recreation. For this reason, one of the most famous garden of Iran is in this city. The Fin Garden (Baghe Fin) was built in Kashan during the Shah Abbas I era. Two major tourism events are held every year at Kashan region.  At spring in mountainous areas such as Ghamsar Golabgiry (Damask rose oil extraction) Cermony is done. In the autumn, the ritual ceremonies of Ghali Shoyan (Wash a carpet based on religious beliefs) is being held at the village of Mashhad Ardehal. Maranjab Desert and caravansary are other attractive areas at Kashan.
