Gonbad Qaboos Tower

Gonbad Qaboos Tower is an ancient monument related to the Al-Ziar era about 1000 years ago and is located in a city of the same name in Golestan province at north of  Iran.  Situated over a hill with 12 meter high has been made up of Brick and has 50 meter Altitude, which is considered to be the tallest brick tower in the world. The materials used in this tower are from the Golshan soil, which is a Sarooj mortar type and has been brought to the site by a horse from the hillside of Minoodasht Mountain. The construction of this ten-octagon building has been lasted 5 years. Small hole on the roof of the building let the sunlight enters to the tower, probably modeled from the ancient tent of the nomads.
