Ali Qapu

Ali Qapu mansion is a monument belongs to the kingdom of the Safavid dynasty in the city of Isfahan. The construction of this building began from the time of Shah Abbas I about 420 years ago, and after his death was completed in a few stages by other Safavid kings for one hundred years. It is been located on the west side of Naqshe Jahan square, in front of Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque. Ali Qapu has three main floors and each floor has a half-floor room, and since all the sights of the city can seen from the roofs, the roof itself is considered as one floor, so it is called seven floors. If you be outside and look to this palace from different sides, in none of the sides the number of floors are the same, this is an excellent characteristic of Ali Qapu.  It also has a large porch with beautiful pool surrounded by its columns.
